The home visit is an important part of the relationship between GP and patient: when you are simply too ill to make into our surgery, you need to know that we can come to you. Peace of mind is important to health.
We would always encourage you to attend surgery if you can: it’s where we can provide the best possible care, and quickly refer you to other services, such as pathology, if you need immediate diagnostics or even care. But sometimes patients are confined to home because of illness, and that’s when home visits are key.
It may even be that urgent care can be given more quickly by our visiting you at home. Whatever the need for a home visit, we’re proud and pleased to be able to offer them as part of our service. The only caveat is that we can attend only around our other commitments to both the NHS and our private clinic patients: we will always attend as soon as possible but not always as soon as requested. All elements of our work are underpinned by the simple values of giving patients time and attention – and the home visit is very much part of that.
We also provide an out-of-hours service, should you urgently require care outside of the generous six-days-a-week opening hours of our surgery.
We conduct home visits by arrangement, so please contact us.
