Dr Jeff Foster is giving a free talk on men’s health at the Nuffield Health Warwick Gym this June.
Entitled ‘What men need to do to stay healthy’, the talk takes place on Tuesday, June 26, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
Topics for the discussion on the night will include:
- How to stay healthy as you age – nutrition, lifestyle, risk factors and hormone changes
- Testosterone deficiency in men and why this is a neglected area of medicine
- Prostate disease and sexual function
A subject Dr Foster has conducted a lot of research into is the so-called ‘manopause,’ the “forgotten epidemic” of low testosterone levels in men.
Symptoms of testosterone deficiency are varied, and include decreased sex drive and erectile dysfunction, depression, poor concentration, obesity, loss of muscle mass, general fatigue and tiredness.
12 per cent of the male population over the age of 40 are estimated to suffer with testosterone deficiency and 50 per cent of patients with type 2 diabetes.
If you are interested in finding out about this and other aspects of men’s health, you can book your free place by calling 01926 314142 or emailing Kirsty Wildman.
